Its day 299 of the year and my project, which means it's Day 25 of the 31 Days of Hallowe'en challenges. I'm starting with my own 31 Days of Hallowe'en, which I've talked about back in August. My mini theme today is Favourite Male Scream Queen/Scream King. And I picked Sweeney Todd.
After having been away for the last decade, a man returns home to find reports of his wife having died and his daughter living with someone as their ward. Deciding to reinvent himself, he changes his name and beings a relationship with someone new. Together, they get revenge on everyone who's wronged them, and serve them up as dinner.
I'm not a fan of this. This is a musical and I'm not much into musicals. I just don't get the appeal of this film, and it seems to be a big favourite of so many people I know. It left me feeling bored to be honest.
And the 31 Days of Horror challenge being hosted by Nightmare on Film Street. Their mini theme today is Should Have Won An Oscar. I picked 1994's Wolf.
While driving home one night from a business meeting, a man is bitten by a large wolf. He soon begins to realize that everyone around him has been thinking he's easy prey. But when the lies are too much, his new animal instincts take over.
This did get nominated for a bunch of Saturn awards and won one of them.
Okay, I'm struggling today. I hated the first movie, loved the second but because it's getting late, I'm just not thinking straight and can't find much to say good or bad right now. But, don't forget to check out my daily Letterboxd lists, as I am doing a few challenges this month.
