31 Days of Hallowe'en Challenges : Day 29

It's day 302 of the year and the main project. This means we are on Day 29 of the 31 Days of Hallowe'en challenge and the #31DayHorrorChallenge being hosted by Nightmare on Film Street.

I'm starting with my own 31 Days of Hallowe'en. The theme today is Must Have A Dog. I picked I Am Legend.

A world wide plague has turned the majority of the world's population into vampires. One scientist and his dog are all that's left. By daylight, he searches New York for survivors, by night he stays inside and works on trying to find a cure.

Based on the novel, this is probably the best adaptation to date. The dog is there through most of the first half of the movie, and is an emotional catalyst for the main character. This is a difference from the novel, as the novel's dog plays a smaller role to the main story.

And the prompt for today's 31 Day Horror Challenge by Nightmare on Film Street is A William Castle Movie. I picked The Tingler.

When a doctor discovers what seems to be a parasite in the base of the spine of most of his patients when they died, he sets out to prove it is caused by being scared to death. He removes one of the parasites but finds it's got a mind of it's own.

I thought this was good enough up to the last few minutes, then it just stops making sense. I was a little disappointed with the ending of this.
