It's Day 301 of the year and main project. We are sitting at Day 28 of the 31 Days of Hallowe'en challenge and the #31DayHorrorChallenge being hosted by Nightmare On Film Street.
Starting as always with my own 31 Days of Hallowe'en Challenge, today's theme is Movie That Appeared on A Horror Hosted Show. I picked Elvira's Movie Macabre - The Terror.

When a young solider is lost on the seaside of France, he finds himself saved by a young woman. When the woman flees in fear, he begins searching for her. His search leads him to an old castle, where he meets the woman's husband. As the young man continues to look for her within the castle, he uncovers a secret hidden in the castle's cemetery.
This really takes a long time to get going, but if you can make it past the first half of the movie, the second half is fairly decent. The ending is a little bonkers though. You are given the twist of the Baron being her dead lover in the mind and body of her husband, but yet he doesn't realize he's someone else? It makes no sense the ending of this film.
And the prompt today for the 31 Day Horror challenge from Nightmare on Film Street is Haunted House I Haven't Seen. I picked The Haunting at Jack the Ripper's House.
A group of youtubers are staying the night in the summer home of one of the suspects believed to have been Jack the Ripper. While there, they find themselves at the mercy of some unknown force who doesn't want them there. Can they get out in time, or will they too be on the wrong end of Jack's knife?
I liked this one, but it took way too long to actually get to the Ripper house. When it finally does, you're left wondering if it's a ghost or just a man in a suit? The makeup effects are decent enough, though near the end of the film, you actually see the camera person in the mirror during a scene; which took me right out of the moment.
