It's Day 291 of the year and main project, which means we are on Day 18 of the 31 Days of Hallowe'en challenge and the #31DayHorrorChallenge being hosted by Nightmare on Film Street.
As always, I'm starting with my own 31 Days of Hallowe'en challenge. And the mini theme today is Vampire Comedy. I picked Living Among Us.

A tv crew have been given permission to stay with a family of vampires and document their daily lives. Everything seems fine at first, but once the cameras are supposed to be off, the members of the family behave badly.
So, this is a found footage style film. As a found footage movie it's one of the better ones I've seen. As a comedy, it's not that funny. Solid vampire film though with it's vampiric gore and keeping with most of the hollywood lore. This is by far not the first of this vampire sub-genre, not even the second for that matter. Living Among Us is a 2018 movie, and follows in the footsteps of the Belgium mockumentary Vampires from 2010 and the more famous mockumentary What We Do In The Shadows from 2014. I would put Living Among Us firmly between the two if I was ranking them as it's so much better than WWDITS.
For the 31 Day Horror Challenge from Nightmare on Film Street, today's prompt was Wet Ghosts. I ended up going with The Fog.
A sleepy little seaside fishing town is overcome by a thick glowing fog for 48 hours. During that time, strange things being to happen. Windows breaking for no reason, furniture moving on it's own, animals reacting to something no one can see. Members from the four main families are brutally murdered on the anniversary of a shipwreck. Figures then are seen throughout town with glowing eyes.
This is the original film, and I have to say, last year when I watched the remake, I enjoyed it much more than this one. The remake has a few changes to the ending of the story and it just works better than the ending for this one.
