It's Day 245 of the year and the project as I write this. If you've been following along all year, then you know this is the part where I let you know what the project is about by saying check out parts one and two for the full breakdown. This is also the part where I let you know I've joined the #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days challenge again this year, and what movies I've seen in the past few weeks in general since I last wrote part 9 that I liked. There are four months left to 2024, and I'm really running out of steam. Okay, let's start with the movies that I liked this month. Grease 2, The First Purge and Argo. Grease 2 has been a favourite of mine since it first came out in 1982. I've actually got an article I've been working on about that. Not sure when I'll have that done for, but it's on it's way. The First Purge is so far the only one of that franchise I've seen, and it wasn't what I was expecting. I'm hoping the rest of the franchise is like this one. Argo. This is based on a true story, and i have to say normally, anything to do with war is not my thing, but this movie had me riveted to my seat!
And now the point of the project...is anything paralleling the first movie of the year that I watched? I keep saying sort of. All year, sort of. My current situation seems to be stuck in the first 15 minutes of the movie. The part where Lily is still meeting the wrong guys and no one around her understands why she's refusing to settle? Then I switched gears for a moment and thought about the other characters and some of the sub-plots. There is one thing, but it's not me directly. The whole sub-plot of the Count having to move...in real life, my mother's health has caused her to need to move from her current apartment. But, that's not me, that's her so does that really count towards paralleling the film? You know what, I'm going to say let's count that as paralleling the movie. Because it does end up affecting Lily. I just realized there will be 13 parts to this project series by the end of the year. The characters move to 1313 Mockingbird Lane at the end of the movie.
