The 2026 Hallowe'en Countdown Has Begun

It's the middle of April, and after three months of planning, I posted the first episode of my Hallowe'en series for youtube.

After last year's 2025 Hallowe'en Bingo, that I did in the month of October, I decided to create a new bingo for myself for 2026. This time, instead of cramming it into a single month, I've decided to spread the tasks out over the course of the next six months. Making a video series for my youtube channel.

I had taped the first episode back in the end of January, and created the bingo card for myself, as well as decided that I would scrapbook the entire thing. I uploaded this introductory episode this morning. It's now 8:16 p.m. as I type this. Having completely forgotten to come up with any kind of written companion piece for here. Or for that matter, my usual Halfway To Hallowe'en Letterboxd challenge list.

How rude of me! And how could I forget? Well I did forget. And now, I'm trying to cobble something together on here before the night is up. Even though I'm skipping my yearly Halfway to Hallowe'en Letterboxd challenge, there are plenty of movie tasks on the bingo card for the year. In fact, over half of the Hallowe'en bingo tasks are movie related. The videos are scheduled for once a week until the middle of October, then I'll be doing them one a day till Hallowe'en night.

I'm not going to lie, I've been struggling the last few months trying to figure out where to put my creative attention, and this year's Hallowe'en project is sort of my life raft. There are so many other directions I would love to branch out to, but until I can solidly figure out a new "dream", the Hallowe'en project is it.
