31 Days of Hallowe'en Movie Challenges :Day 2

It's day 275 of the year and main project. And that means it's Day 2 of the 31 Days of Hallowe'en challenge I'm doing, as well as the 31 Days of Horror Challenge being hosted by Nightmare on Film Street.

Today I lucked out, as the two themes managed to mix. My own 31 Days of Hallowe'en challenge mini theme is Frankenstein and the prompt for the #31DayHorrorChallenge is Set In School.

I decided to go with Lisa Frankenstein.

We follow Lisa as she is grieving over the death of her mother, while trying to incorporate herself into life with her new step mother and step sister. Which she does mostly by visiting a grave of an unknown man. A lightening storm hits the grave of the unknown man, bringing him back to life. He tracks her down, and soon they start getting revenge on the people in Lisa's life who have treated her badly.

This is one of those movies that ends up growing on you. It's dark humour can be very much in line with movies like Heathers, while it's innocence is very much in vein with Weird Science. It's an excellent middle ground between the styles and reasoning of those two other films.

My biggest issue with this movie, is the plot hole of the timeline. It's set up to take place in the course of a week, but because of the amount of adventures that happens to the two leads within the film, the logic of it gets confusing.
