It's Day 280 of the year and main project.
If you've been following me for any length of time, you know in past years I've done my 13 Days of Hallowe'en on my old written blogs and my old facebook page. (the 2020 video series from that facebook page are up on my youtube now) The last few years of course, I've only done my 31 Days of Hallowe'en challenge and the 31 Days of Horror Challenge hosted by Nightmare on Film Street; on both this site and my Letterboxd. This year however, I decided to add a few new elements.
What better way than by a bingo card. You might remember back in the spring I posted the card. Well, here are the first items I managed to check off the list this week.
First, were watching a horror movie from 1995 and watching a horror movie from 2021. These were also part of my 31 Days of Hallowe'en Challenge days: Day 3 was the horror movie from 1995 and Day 4 was the horror movie from 2021. You can read my thoughts about those on those two days.

Next, I tackled the yearly Selfie with a Spirit Halloween Animatronic. My visits to my local Spirit Halloween are always a good time. I love seeing the rest of the Hallowe'en community, which I really don't get to much the rest of the year.
After that, I decided to check off Read A Horror Magazine. Now, I've been collecting horror magazines off and on since the 90's. My first Fangoria was from September 1996.
On the day I decided to go to my local Indigo Chapters, there wasn't many horror magazines left on the shelf. I guess I was a day or two too early for new release day. I ended up getting literally the only copy of any of the horror brands left on the shelf. But, that was cool, as I'm a reader of HorrorHound.
Next, Create a Hallowe'en Playlist. Now, this is something I tend to do a lot. This playlist, is my 18th Hallowe'en playlist. I've been making a couple every year for the last few years both at Hallowe'en and for Halfway to Hallowe'en.

Next up, Design a Treat Bag. This one seemed so easy, but I screwed up. I don't know if it was the ink or the material of the bag, but it didn't work right. I had picked up a small crafting kit with cute rubber stamps shaped like ghosts, jack'o'lanterns and bats, but after they dried, they seemed to have faded so much you couldn't see them. I went over them a few times, but they just were too faded to see after they dried. I finally just grabbed a marker and wrote Trick or Treat on it in frustration.
And the last thing I managed to check off the bingo card so far was go Decor Hunting. I went to my local Party City Canada. I did not end up buying anything, but I had fun looking at the decor.
