I was watching the Cobwebs Channel on youtube, and saw that he's done his favourite 15 vampire movies from each decade, starting with the 1970 through to 2025. I thought his series idea was brilliant. Now, I am just jumping in on this bandwagon for the last half of it, just my favourite top 15 from 2000-2025.
Coming in at number 15 is the 2015 movie Blood Trap aka Bite. We follow a group of thieves as they are hired to break into a vault, only to find themselves trapped with a female vampire.
If this sounds familiar to you, that's because the 2024 movie Abigail is a remake/ripoff of this European movie.
Number 14 would be Dracula The Dark Prince. This made for television movie is more about the historical Vlad Dracula, but that doesn't mean it didn't have it's typical Hollywood vampire ending. It stars soap actor Rudolph Martin who got the role of Dracula on season 5 episode 1 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer because he was already filming this movie.
Number 13 is the family friendly Hotel Transylvania 2. Mavis and Johnny are married and have a son of their own. When it appears he's more human than vamp, they decide it might be time to move from the hotel to live with Johnny's parents. While Johnny and Mavis check out the area, Drac and the boys take the kid on a wild vamps night out.
Number 12 would be Underworld 2 Evolution. Our two leads are on the run from another more ancient vampire, as he chases them across Europe trying to drain Michael of his hybrid blood.
Number 11 is Daybreakers. This is set in a world where vampires are the top of the food chain, and humans are about to be extinct. This forces a group of vampire scientist to create a synthetic blood. But, there is a group of rebels who are out to reclaim the human race.

Number 10 The Tubi original Slay. This is drag queens meets From Dusk Till Dawn. As a group of drag queens show up to a gig at what ends up being a cowboy bar in the middle of nowhere, and are faced with some prejudice. As the night continues, everyone needs to band together to fight off a group of vampires.
Number 9 would be The Shadow of the Vampire. A retelling of the original 1922 movie Nosferatu as seen through the idea of the lead actor Max Schreck actually being a vampire.
Coming in at number 8 would be the 2024 remake of Nosferatu. This for me had more ties to the 1979 remake than it did the original 1922 version. But we follow a young Thomas Hutter and his wife as they deal with the threat from both Count Orlok as well as the young wife's supernatural abilities.
Number 7 would be The Last Voyage of the Demeter. The crew of a ship unknowingly deliver Dracula to England, along the way loosing all their crew. This of course is the adaptation of a few pages in the original novel.
Number 6 is Queen of the Damned. Lestat has woken from his decades long sleep and finds himself in the hub of the MTV generation. Using his fame to lure victims, he is being hunted by other vampires. This is a mixture of the second novel The Vampire Lestat and the third novel Queen of the Damned.

Coming in at number 5 is From Dusk till Dawn 3 The Hangman's Daughter. This is a sequel-prequel. We follow a group of people in the wild west, who get stranded at this brothel overnight, and we discover the beginnings of their queen.
I've got a tie at number 4. Simply because both the 2011 remake of Fright Night and the 2013 remake Fright Night 2 New Blood are in deed the same plot. Charlie and his friends Evil Ed and Amy, are being hunted by Jerry Dandrige /Gerri Dandrige (Jerry in 2011 remake and Gerri in 2013 remake) Where as the 2011 version is a straight up remake, the 2013 version, meshes the original 1985 version and it's sequel from 1989 together as well as a few elements from the 2011 version.
Number 3 is Blade 2 Bloodhunt. Blade is hired to hunt down a new breed of vampire that is a threat not just to humans, but to other vampires as well.

Coming in at number 2, is Renfield. We follow Renfield in the modern age, as he tries to free himself from the clutches of Dracula. This is a comically gory action drama that drips neon and tackles the question of is Renfield actually human anymore?
And my number 1 pick, Rob Zombie's The Munsters. We follow the love story of Lily and Herman as they met and get married. If you've been following along on this site or my Letterboxd for that matter; for any amount of time, then you've seen me talk about this movie a lot. It is literally my favourite movie to come out in the last five years.
