The Hallowe'en season has begun in my city officially for the year. It usually starts with Hallowe'en Shopping Season in mid-July, and evolves into Hallowe'en Decorating Season around late September and fully on into Hallowe'en beginning of October before Canadian Thanksgiving; which is early October.
So what does this mean?
Well, for the last decade, on my old blogging site and across my social medias, I would do 13 Days of Hallowe'en, which consisted of movie reviews, recipes and comedy skits. This year, I'm going much more lowkey. I've joined a horror movie marathon on Letterboxd, as well as having planned my own 31 Days of Hallowe'en movie challenge. Plus, full intentions of joining the 31 Days of Horror challenge again this year. Which basically boils down to non-stop horror movies with mini themes until Nov 1st. The odd trip to my local Spirit Halloween and to a few local Hallowe'en haunted houses/attractions peppered in for good measure.
Let's face it. I've been down playing how much I look forward to Spirit Halloween every year. In fact, I always try to get there on opening day. Just to get photos, inspiration and to socialize with others in the Hallowe'en community.
If you want to follow along with me, or join in on my 31 Days of Hallowe'en, here's what I've got planned. It will be a list on my Letterboxd, as well as posts through out the month of October on here. Let the Hallowe'en adventures of 2023 begin!
